CD REVIEW: The Killers – Day & Age

The Killers - Day and Age

The Killers - Day and Age

With their third studio album, Day & Age, The Killers have put together yet again a collection of some of the catchiest rock and roll being released on major labels these days.  Day & Age is a change of pace from more of the straight-away rock that some of The Killers’ fans may have come to expect.  This CD sounds so eighties at times it hurts, but each song has a hook, even if it sounds like it’s 22 years old, and even after one listen I found myself singing along to the tracks.  The two radio releases are probably the strongest songs on the album, but after repeated listenings one’s mind might be singing a different tune.  A must have for the die-hard fan, I would recommend a casual fan pick up “Spaceman” and “Joy Ride” on iTunes.  If you decide after hearing those two that you want the whole album, you will be in for a treat.
