Spread ‘Em – Week 3

WRITTEN BY MAX

Last week was a blood bath.

Week two kicked my ass.  Here’s the damage report:

Hit one team’s score, and took a bath on the O/U for the week. A lot of weird shit happened last week. Here’s hoping this week is better.

Last week I went 4-6 picking over under, 6-4 against the spread, and 7-3 picking winners.  For the season, I’m 11-8 in O/U, 11-8 against the spread and 15-4 picking winners.  Off to a real ugly start.

Here’s a couple notes in addition to the ones for next week.

ISU is tough.  There wasn’t a spread right now posted, but if it’s somewhere around 6.5 I feel like they cover easily.  If it’s around 9.5 I think they still cover.  Take the points on anything over 13.5.  They have no ceiling and they have no fear and they believe they can do it, and that’s dangerous when you finally have the talent and coaching to do something about it.  Man, I hate ISU.

This week I’m taking the points with Arkansas State, Florida, and Houston.  Everyone else I’m taking to cover.  I won’t count the spreads in the Iowa game (Even) nor in the ISU game (no Vegas line at time of posting).  A possible of 8 spread picks next week.

The biggest upset last week wasn’t the Arkansas game but the Oklahoma State drubbing.  They came out so hot and just completely fell apart.  Are they even good this year?  Same could be said for Wisconsin.  What a bed shitting that was.  A lot of teams who traveled last week just couldn’t handle the trip (Wisconsin, Oklahoma State and Nebraska).  This week everyone is at home, and against worse opponents.  Let’s see what happens.  Good luck, and happy gambling!

Week Three Predictions. Happy Gambling!?!
